Launching How to Be Human

October 20, 19:00 Christ Church Cathedral 414 Sparks Street, Ottawa

I won the 2021 John Newlove Award for the best poem to appear that year in the tremendous Bywords.ca literary journal. The award consists of the publication of a chapbook, to be launched at the Ottawa International Writers' Festival. Join me for this free event, where you'll also get to hear the great music of Subrahj Singh and find out who won the 2022 award. We'll subsequently hit the Byward Market and behave like idiots.

Richard-Yves Sitoski’s activities take place in Gitche Namewikwedong/Owen Sound, on the traditional territory of the Anishinaabe Nation: the People of the Three Fires, known as the Ojibway, the Odawa, and the Pottawatomie Nations. He gives thanks to the Chippewas of Saugeen and the Chippewas of Nawash, now known as the Saugeen Ojibway Nation, as the traditional keepers of this land.
